2 Airports in Cyprus choose for Nedap AEOS

Two of Cyprus’ main airports, Paphos International, and Larnaka International, have selected AEOS from the Dutch manufacturer Nedap as their main security management system.

Nedap’s certified Business Partner Orad Ltd. from Israel has won the tender for delivery and installation of a security management system at two of Cyprus’ main airports. The choice of both airports for Nedap underlines the clear benefits of AEOS in rapidly changing and complex security environments, such as airports. The combination of state of the art hardware and configurable software components enables airports to be more in control of the enforcement of the tight security procedures.

The AEOS security management system at Larnaka International airport will consist of approximately 211 Nedap Proximity readers and 12.000 Mifare cards. At the Paphos International Airport the AEOS system will exist of approximately 61 Nedap Proximity readers with 5.000 Mifare cards. Both projects will be realized in the course of 2008.

The project not only includes security management systems, but also CCTV, logical biometric log-in to computers and central Command & Control system. The realization will be done by Orad’s daughter company in Cyprus, Glosec Holdings Ltd.
