Questions about AEOS Faces
Q: What is AEOS faces?
A: AEOS faces is a simple, straight forward and intuitive graphical user interface that allows visualised (alarm) monitoring and command control. It is a framework that groups various alarms together in a single user interface, for example: access control, intrusion, intercom, light control and camera images, in order to support different people in their day-to-day security related tasks.
Q: For who is AEOS faces developed?
A: AEOS faces is a role-based user interface designed to support the tasks of daily users. It is intended for daily users such as guards, receptionist, office workers, etc.
Q: What makes AEOS faces different to other Security Management Systems?
A: Nedap realised that many existing security systems were providing organisations with less than optimal results. The advanced yet complex security management systems available today can only be effectively used by a limited number of trained staff. Lacking integration, simplicity and user-friendliness, these systems do not sufficiently support all staff, such as guards, receptionists or switchboard operators in their day to day security-related decisions. Therefore, Nedap developed AEOS faces to provide a solution.
Q: Do I need to train my employees to be able to use AEOS faces?
A: AEOS faces is very simple to use. Being task oriented, the user interface only shows what the user needs. There is no extensive training required.
Q: Can I design my own security interface?
A: Yes, AEOS faces is designed to support each role within an organisation with its own interface. Our Certified Business Partners can tailor your interface to support the specific tasks of employees in a logical manner. For example, a receptionist makes different demands of the system to those of a security officer or logistics manager.
